On June 16, Egypt issued an amendment to the WTO (EGY/313/Add.5) announcing a pause in the implementation of its new Halal certification requirements until September 30, 2023. As such, until October 1, 2023, Egypt should allow entry for imports of milk and dairy products without a Halal certificate.
