USDEC's Market Access and Regulatory Affairs team partnered with Sidley Austin LLP to offer export control training to USDEC processor and trader members, free of charge, on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 2-3 pm ET. 

Lindsay Bernsen Wardlaw of Sidley Austin LLP discussed pre-export controls, antiboycott regulations, and sanctions. In particular, she addressed the basics of conducting an export transaction: what to put on an invoice, how and when to file Electronic Export Information, export classification and licensing requirements for dairy products, sanctions and export control restrictions that apply to dairy shipments to particular persons and countries, and penalties for non-compliance.
