Exporters Must Re-Register on October 1 with China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine

China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) announced the upgrading of the Foreign Food Importer and Exporter Filing System, effective October 1, 2015. As a result of the upgrade, ALL exporters must re-register online with AQSIQ on or after October 1.

Exporters must access the new system on or after October 1 and submit their registration information. The AQSIQ website address is http://ire.eciq.cn.

AQSIQ had originally implemented an exporter registration filing system in October 2012. USDEC has been informed that there has been no change in the information requirements from the 2012 registration system.

Please be advised that the Chinese are using the same website address for the 2015 registration as they did for the former system. Therefore, exporters must wait until October 1 to register.

USDEC is in the process of translating the guidance documents and will post them in the Export Guide China Volume 2, in the Exporter Registration section.
